Wow! The days have just flown by! It is hard to believe that this year is almost over. Darius turns eight months on November 2nd! It will be any day now that he'll realize that he can crawl. He is already pulling up on furniture and pulled down a big box. I'm almost finished with baby proofing rooms but it seems that he'll still find a way to get to things as smart as he is. The weather is getting colder by the day and we're expecting snow by Halloween. David and I are doing well and are quite busy being parents. Darius teaches us so much everyday. He is becoming more and more vocal by the day. I just love getting to stay home and watch him grow up. Well we love you, but this is it for my entry until next time. Take care and have a Happy Halloween. :)

I want to share a CUTE story that happened a few night ago. Darius was jumping in his Jumperoo while David and I were putting a dresser together for our bedroom. Wanting our attention Darius said, "Ma Ma", we looked over and smiled then continued working. He then smiled, paused for a moment and yelled "Da Da", and finally when this didn't get the attention that he wanted he tried one last attempt, and as loud as he could he said, "Mom Da" "Mom Da". David and I thought that it was very clever of him learning to call us both all at once in his own sweet way! :) David and I then decided that the dresser could wait and scooped him up to give him some attention. Sometimes we need a prompting from our little ones to remember that they too need to have some play time, even in our busy moments. I am thankful that our little Darius could have the inteligence to say what he needed. David and I are so BLESSED to have such a sweet little smartie in our family. Well I hope this cute story blesses your week as it has ours. Take care and remember that no matter how busy your schedule is, take time to smell the roses too. :)

Hello everyone! This week has been very fun for David and I. Darius has grown so much this week. He is trying new words out like, hi, and hey. He's also learned the baby sign gesture for eat. David and I have been working with him in the baby sign language book. We decided to teach him so that he has other tools to communicate with us. It also cuts down some of his frusteration. He seems very happy to know that we can help him better when he signs to us. I've also decided to go to school in the spring part time. I really want to continue my education and if David and I schedule it right it should work out good. I have always wanted to get my degree in Psychology. Darius seems to be cutting more teeth too. His mouth has looked red and irritated like he's cutting more bottom teeth soon. I hope he doesn't hurt as bad as last time. :(
David has been busy in school and doing well. We can't wait for him to finish his degree so that he can get a better job and have more time with us. :) This week has been really nice though because Darius and I got to spend some quality time out with daddy. Well that's all for now. I'll write more later.
Enjoy the pictures, they were taken a few nights ago. :)

The Sweetest Words

Just as David and I had put our son, Darius to bed tonight and settled down for some quiet time of our own the cutest, most adorable thing happened! We had the baby monitor close by so that we could listen in on Darius in case of any problems. He was cooing quietly to himself as he always does just before drifting sleepily off to slumberland. Then out of no where came two words... "Da Da". David resisted the urge to run in and scoop him out of bed and just sat there smiling a smile that only a proud dad could give. I was so thrilled that Darius could tell daddy how much he meant to him tonight and had to share this with everyone. These are the priceless moments that I will always cherrish. We love you all and good night.
